I’ve been away from home for quite some time now, and in that time I’ve had plenty of time to spend around unbelievers.  Thank the Lord, I’ve also had some wonderful fellowship with the body as well, but those opportunities are fewer than I’d prefer.  The difference between the two relationships is markedly different, especially with respect to their epistemological reference points. This message was delivered to a church group recently.  It includes personal thoughts, but also addresses issues evangelicalism rarely hears.  The quotes are from R.J. Rushdoony’s “Salvation and Godly Rule” and “Systematic Theology.”


We are living through the Post-Modern, Post-Christian era of worldviews. Each of us is seeing today the slow demise of Western Civilization, which was built upon the Christian worldview. Some of the facts of everyday day American life include: 1/2 of all marriages end in divorce, 40% of children today grow up without fathers (up from 6% in 1960), 95% of people admit to having pre-marital sex.
